Investigation on Beechwood Lane tied to possible burial site disturbance

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — A law enforcement presence was reported behind the Menards store on Beechwood Lane as authorities investigate a case involving a possible disturbance of a burial site.
Chief Deputy Eric Fredrick said evidence being sought includes, but is not limited to, human remains, caskets, burial vaults and headstones.
Officials said the investigation is related to potential charges of disturbing a burial site and first-degree property damage.
