Investigation underway after ShotSpotter activation in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Cape Girardeau police responded to an area after a ShotSpotter/Sierra activation indicated a single gunshot had been fired.

Officers searched the area but were unable to locate a suspect or identify anyone involved, according to police.

No injuries or property damage were reported.

The investigation remains ongoing.
