Jackson County leaders to gather for Child Abuse Prevention proclamation
MURPHYSBORO, Ill., (KBSI) — The Jackson County Child Abuse Prevention Month Proclamation Reading will take place on April 30 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Jackson County Courthouse, 1001 Walnut St.
The event will bring together local officials, families and child welfare organizations to highlight the importance of child abuse prevention. Representatives from Jackson County Government, Prevent Child Abuse Illinois, Southern Illinois University Carbondale and other organizations will speak on the issue.
The proclamation reading will reinforce Jackson County’s commitment to protecting its most vulnerable citizens.
