Jackson County Sheriff’s Office issues 34 citations during Memorial Day enforcement

JACKSON COUNTY, Ill., (KBSI) — The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office issued 34 citations during the Memorial Day “Click It or Ticket” enforcement period.

The office wrote 15 citations for seat belt violations and took additional actions, including citing drivers for speeding, uninsured motorists and suspended licenses.

The enforcement campaign aimed to make Illinois roads safer and promote seat belt use, according to Sgt. Ronald Stanton.
