Jackson High School choirs earn top honors at state festival

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The Jackson High School Concert Choir and Women’s Choir earned top honors at the MSHSAA State Large Ensemble Festival and Performance Assessment, held Thursday at Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus.

Both choirs received an Exemplary Rating, the highest rating possible, from a panel of performance judges and a sight-reading judge. The rating is based on the choirs’ performances against a state standard.

The achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the choir members and their directors.
