Jackson in Bloom quickly approaching, Jackson business owner prepares for second year at event

JACKSON, Mo. (KBSI) – Jackson in Bloom is quickly approaching, and the community is getting ready for the celebration of spring in Uptown Jackson.

Allison Cates operates Bub’s Bees and Blooms out of her Jackson home, and she will be bringing some of her flowers to the event.

She said she feels a special connection with every flower she grows and sells.

“Specifically for me and my business, flowers have just an amazing way of connecting people, me to them because I grow them with my hands from seed to stand, but also, flowers are a part of everybody’s life during the most significant events of their life, so it’s just special to be able to be a part of that,” she said.

Jackson in Bloom will take place on April 29 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Because of remodeling work underway at the county courthouse, activities will take place in different spots near the square.
