Jackson issues road closure alert due to flash flooding and high water

JACKSON, Mo., (KBSI) — A portion of E. Independence St. is closed until further notice due to high water and flash flooding of Hubble Creek.

The E. Independence St. low-water bridge is also closed until tomorrow because of debris and flooding.

Motorists are warned not to drive through moving or standing water.

City street crews are monitoring the flooding situation and working to clear storm drains throughout Jackson.
