Jackson R-2 School District names Dr. Keenan Kinder Superintendent

JACKSON, Mo., (KBSI) — The Jackson R-2 School District Board of Education has named Dr. Keenan Kinder as the district’s superintendent, effective July 1, 2025.

Kinder, a 1993 graduate of Jackson High School, has 28 years of educational leadership experience, including six years as assistant superintendent in Jackson and seven years as superintendent in Leopold.

The Board of Education unanimously elected Kinder as the district’s 14th superintendent.

“Dr. Kinder is student-focused and cares deeply about the school’s success,” said Brian Thompson, Board of Education President. “His dedication to the tradition of this great school is unmatched.”
