Jackson recycling center to close briefly for upgrades

JACKSON, Mo., (KBSI) — The City of Jackson’s Recycling Center will be closed on May 14, 2025, for the installation of a new horizontal baler.

The facility will reopen on May 15, 2025, at 8 a.m.

The city recently received a grant from the Southeast Missouri Solid Waste Management District to fund $47,837.95 of the $104,796 total project cost.

The new baler will replace a 17-year-old baler at the facility.
