Jackson to host annual Independence Day celebration on July 4
JACKSON, Mo., (KBSI) — The city of Jackson will host its annual Independence Day celebration on Friday, July 4, at City Park.
The free event, which runs from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., will feature a 5K walk/run, car show, mud volleyball tournament, live entertainment, food vendors and a fireworks display.
Schedule:
— 7:04 a.m.: Independence Day 5K Run
— 8 a.m.-2 p.m.: Car Show
— 8:30 a.m.: Mud Volleyball Tournament
— 9 a.m.-7 p.m.: Stooges Restaurant Beer Garden
— 9 a.m.: Food stands open
— 7 p.m.-8 p.m.: Live entertainment by Brandon Bates
— 8 p.m.-9:30 p.m.: Live entertainment by Jackson Municipal Band
— 9:30 p.m.: Fireworks display
Parking is free, but some areas will be closed to vehicular traffic. Attendees are encouraged to respect surrounding neighborhoods and businesses by using public parking lots and spaces.
