Jefferson Co. Sheriff’s Office arrests felon on firearms charges

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ill., (KBSI) — Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call at 15412 N. Legion Ln on April 1, leading to the arrest of 45-year-old James B. Robinson.

Deputies found evidence of illegally possessed firearms and ammunition at the scene. Robinson, the primary resident, was taken into custody and detectives obtained a search warrant for his property, uncovering additional evidence of criminal activity.

Robinson is facing charges of Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and Possession of a Defaced Firearm.

He is being held at the Jefferson County Jail pending a pre-trial detention hearing.

As with all cases, Robinson is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
