Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office launches Special Olympics popcorn fundraiser

MOUNT VERNON, Ill. (KBSI) — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is raising money for Special Olympics Illinois through an online popcorn fundraiser.
The fundraiser, which benefits the Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Illinois, runs from July 20 through July 27.
According to the sheriff’s office, proceeds will help fund programs, competitions and opportunities for Special Olympics Illinois athletes with intellectual disabilities.
Popcorn can be purchased online through the fundraiser’s Double Good website.
The sheriff’s office said every purchase supports its fundraising goal while helping provide opportunities for Special Olympics athletes across Illinois.
