Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office to step up speed patrol after public complaints

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ill. (KBSI) – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is stepping up speed patrol efforts in July.
The sheriff’s office successfully applied for a grant to help with speeding and other traffic violations and receiving numerous.
Stepped up patrols will be seen throughout the county and the state of Illinois from July 6-31.
The speed enforcement effort is possible by federal traffic safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
