Juvenile arrested after 1 injured in shooting in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – A juvenile was arrested after another juvenile was injured in a shooting in Cape Girardeau on Thursday.
Girardeau police officers responded to the 900 block of Hackberry Street in reference to shots fired on January 11.
Officers arrived on scene and were told a juvenile had been taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers found two homes and four vehicles in the 900 block of Hackberry with apparent bullet holes.
Other officers responded to the hospital to speak with the juvenile victim. Police say the victim was uncooperative with officers and left the hospital against medical advice.
Officers made contact with the driver, a juvenile, of the vehicle that dropped the victim off at the hospital.
While speaking with the driver, officers found bullet holes in the vehicle.
Officers searched the vehicle and found a loaded firearm that had previously been reported as stolen from Cape Girardeau.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested and taken to the Cape Girardeau County Juvenile Office for questioning.
