Juvenile arrested in school threat incident

SCOTT COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – On September 16, the Scott County Sheriff’s Department conducted an investigation on a threat made to Kelly School District through social media. The threat proved to be unfounded.

During this investigation they were made aware of a second threat.

Investigators along with the juvenile office located an individual and after further investigation a juvenile was taken into custody for the incident.

The minor will not be identified due to being a juvenile.

The Scott County Sheriff’s office states that any threats to schools in Scott County are taken seriously and will be investigated in the highest manor to ensure safety.

They remind individuals if you see one of these posts threatening schools on social media not to share it but instead contact your local law enforcement agency to report it.
