Juvenile injured in shooting in Cape Girardeau; no arrests made

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — A juvenile was injured in a shooting Thursday night in Cape Girardeau, according to the Cape Girardeau Police Department.
Officers responded around 8 p.m. March 26 to the 1000 block of Jefferson Boulevard for reports of shots fired. Police said a ShotSpotter alert also indicated gunfire in the 1000 block of Bloomfield and the 400 block of South Hanover Street.
When officers arrived, they located a juvenile with a gunshot wound in the 1000 block of Jefferson. The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries that appeared to be non-life threatening.
Police also found a vehicle that had been struck by gunfire in the 1000 block of Bloomfield.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
