Juveniles charged after vehicle break-ins in McCracken County

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) – The investigation began Sunday, May 3, after the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office received several reports of vehicles with items missing. One victim reported a vehicle window had been broken and a door lock tampered with.

The incidents were reported in the North Crestview Drive and Grubbs Lane area of McCracken County. During the investigation, deputies learned two juveniles had been running through multiple properties overnight in the area. Deputies gathered surveillance footage from residences and interviewed several witnesses, which led to the identification of the suspects.

The juveniles were located, interviewed and charged. Deputies also recovered several stolen items and returned them to their owners.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department is reminding residents to lock their vehicles at night and remove valuables, including cash, bank cards, credit cards, medications and firearms.
