Kaskaskia Eagle Fest set for March 7 at Jerry F. Costello Lock and Dam

MODOC, Ill., (KBSI) — The Kaskaskia River Project will host Kaskaskia Eagle Fest on March 7 at the Jerry F. Costello Lock and Dam.
The free event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the lock and dam, located at 4800 Lock and Dam Road.
Visitors will have the opportunity to observe bald eagles and attend live animal programs. World Bird Sanctuary will present programs featuring live birds at 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Animalogy will host live animal presentations at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Project staff will offer lock and dam tours at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Organizers say the event will also feature vendors, a live flintknapping demonstration and children’s crafts. Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase while supplies last.
Families are welcome. Dogs must remain on a leash.
