Katee Adams named assistant principal at Hendron-Lone Oak Elementary School

McCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — Katee Adams has been named assistant principal at Hendron-Lone Oak Elementary School, bringing more than 15 years of experience in education to the role.
Adams has served as interim assistant principal at the school since spring 2026, assisting with daily operations, collaborating with staff and families and supporting students and staff.
Before that role, Adams served as interim assistant principal at Concord Elementary in spring 2025, where she worked on leadership initiatives, scheduling, instructional support and student services.
Adams joined McCracken County Schools in 2024 as a teacher at Hendron-Lone Oak Elementary. Prior to that, she served as the district elementary gifted and talented coordinator for Marshall County Schools from 2021 to 2024. In that position, she coordinated enrichment services, led district meetings and helped develop project-based learning initiatives and professional development programs.
She began her career at Sharpe Elementary School, where she taught kindergarten through fifth grade from 2009 to 2021 and led initiatives focused on project-based learning, standards-based grading and personalized learning.
Incoming Hendron-Lone Oak Principal Tim Bundren said Adams’ leadership and instructional background make her a strong fit for the position.
“Katee is a relationship-driven leader who genuinely cares about students, staff, and families,” Bundren said in a statement. “Her passion for education, strong instructional background, and commitment to creating meaningful learning experiences make her an excellent fit for this role.”
Adams said she is grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the Hendron-Lone Oak community.
