Kennett police seize 2.5 pounds of suspected meth with Fentanyl

KENNETT, Mo. (KBSI) – The Kennett Police Department seized about 2.5 pounds of suspected methamphetamine.
Police received information on May 1 about methamphetamine containing Fentanyl being distributed in the Kennett area.
The Kennett Police Department Street Crimes Unit was activated to locate the suspected distributers.
Between May 2 and May 3, the Kennett Police Department Special Response Team executed several search warrants in Kennett.
About 2.5 pounds of suspected methamphetamine was seized.
Multiple agencies collaborated. They include the Dunklin County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Dunklin County Sheriff’s Department, SEMO Drug Task Force, Kennett Police Department Patrol Division, Communications Division, Street Crimes Unit and the Kennett Police Department Special Response Team.
Kennett police are not releasing further information at this time. The investigation continues.
