Kennett woman dies in crash with train in Pemiscot County

PEMISCOT COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – A Kennett woman died in a crash with a train Thursday afternoon in Pemiscot County.

Heather S. Wyrick, 32, was driving a 2003 Buick LeSabre on County Road 260 when she crossed the railroad tracks on County Road 260 two miles north of Hayti.

A Burlington Northern locomotive hit her vehicle around 2:30 p.m.

Wyrick was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:55 p.m. by Assistant Pemiscot County Coroner Jess Cagle.
