Kentucky launches safe Teen Driving Challenge, offers cash prizes

FRANKFORT, Ky., (KBSI) — The Kentucky State Police has joined forces with Gov. Andy Beshear and other partners to launch the Kentucky Safe Teen Driving Challenge.

The program, sponsored by the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety, encourages teens aged 16-19 to practice safe driving habits, with a chance to win up to $2,000.

At a kickoff event at Franklin County High School, KSP Capt. Chris Baker emphasized the importance of safe driving. Students also experienced the consequences of unsafe driving through a crash trailer and practiced safe driving skills with an interactive simulator.
