Kentucky man arrested on multiple charges after accident

 

CRITTENDEN COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — A single-vehicle accident on Highway 91 near the ferry on Jan. 15 led to the arrest of Daniel Hopkins on multiple charges.

Sheriff Evan Head responded to the scene and determined Hopkins had left the area before his arrival. With assistance from the Marion Police Department, Hopkins was located at a local business.

Hopkins was found in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, leaving the scene of an accident, operating under the influence, driving on a suspended license and failure to maintain insurance.

Hopkins was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center. The Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Tolu Volunteer Fire Department at the scene.
