Kentucky man faces charges after being served bench warrant

CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) -A Kentucky man is facing several charges after being served a bench warrant.

On January 25, 2024, around 4:00 pm Cody Elkin, 38, of Murry Ky was served a bench warrant by Calloway County Sheriff’s Office at the Calloway County Detention Center.

He was last found guilty of manufacturing and trafficking methamphetamine in 2020 by the Calloway County Circuit Court.

Upon serving the warrant officers found Elkin to be in possession of illicit drugs.

Elkin was arrested and charged with:

Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Deg 3rd or >Offense- Methamphetamine (Class D felony)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Failure to Appear- Warrant issued by Calloway County Circuit Court
Elkin is currently being held in the Calloway County Detention Center.
