Kentucky man faces drug charges after deputies conduct a traffic stop

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A man faces drug charges after a traffic stop.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office on December 21st, 2024, at around 12:01 am, deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Benton Rd.

The vehicle was a 2005 Chevrolet pickup truck.

During the traffic stop, K9 Vegas alerted to the odor of illegal narcotics.
It was discovered that the operator, 43-year-old Michael D. Reid of Paducah, KY, was in possession of Crystal Methamphetamine and other items related to Drug Paraphernalia.
Michael D. Reid was arrested and taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail where he was lodged.
Michael D. Reid was arrested and faces charges of:
-Failure to Produce Insurance Card
-Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine)
-Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess
