Kentucky State Police canine sniffs out narcotics after traffic stop

CALLOWAT COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – Canine sniffs out suspected methamphetamine.

On Jan 23, 2024, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Ky 80E near Palestine Church Road for a traffic violation.

Kentucky State Police deployed their K-9 to conduct an open-air sniff around the vehicle.

The K-9 alerted to the odor of narcotics, especially the driver’s door.

Inside the door cavity deputies located suspected methamphetamine weighing approximately 28 grams total, a quantity of Xanax, along with various forms of drug paraphernalia.

Timothy Foster was arrested and taken to Calloway County Detention Center.

Foster was found guilty of trafficking drugs in 1991 after being charged in 1989.
