Kentucky State Police provide flood, winter storm update

FRANKFORT, Ky., (KBSI) — The Kentucky State Police reported Tuesday that troopers have responded to numerous calls for service and crashes since the onset of severe weather.

Since Feb. 15, KSP telecommunicators have answered 14,866 calls for service, and personnel have assisted with water rescues and welfare checks in affected areas.

Between 8 p.m. Feb. 18 and Tuesday morning, KSP responded to:

— 149 non-injury crashes
— 18 injury crashes
— Zero fatal crashes
— 175 motorist assists

KSP reminds motorists to slow down and move over for first responders, plow drivers and tow trucks.
