Kentucky State Police seek information in Kentucky Lake sexual assault case

KUTTAWA, Ky., (KBSI) – Kentucky State Police Post 1 is seeking the public’s help in a sexual assault investigation tied to an event at Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area.

Police said the assault occurred on the night of Aug. 30 in the Smith Bay area. On Aug. 31, an adult woman was found unconscious on the bank of Kentucky Lake. After regaining consciousness, she initially refused medical treatment but later went to a hospital, where she was treated for injuries consistent with sexual assault.

Investigators said the woman reported attending a “glow party” in Smith Bay the night of the incident.
