Kentucky State Police to conduct traffic safety checkpoints

MAYFIELD, Ky., (KBSI) — The Kentucky State Police will conduct traffic safety checkpoints throughout the Post 1 district to check compliance with motor vehicle laws, including driving under the influence statutes.
The checkpoints aim to promote safety, provide a deterrent for law violators and focus on vehicular equipment deficiencies, registration, insurance and licensing.
Violations and public safety issues will be addressed.
Checkpoints will be conducted in Ballard, Calloway, Carlisle, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Livingston, Lyon, McCracken, Marshall and Trigg counties.
