Kevil woman dies following rollover crash in McCracken County

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) – The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle injury collision at about 7:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 12, 2026, in the 6400 block of New Liberty Church Road in West Paducah.
Investigators determined that Tawnya Scott, 26, of Kevil, was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on New Liberty Church Road when the vehicle left the roadway. The vehicle overcorrected and rolled multiple times before coming to rest. Scott was ejected from the vehicle.
Scott was transported to a local hospital and later airlifted to an out-of-state hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. She died from her injuries Friday, Jan. 16, 2026.
The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the West McCracken Fire Department, Mercy Regional Ambulance and Vanzant’s Towing.
The investigation remains ongoing.
