KSP: Man killed after attacking parole officer during McCracken County home visit

PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — Kentucky State Police say a man was shot and killed after attacking a probation and parole officer during a home visit in McCracken County.
Investigators said the incident happened March 27 when Department of Corrections probation and parole officers went to a residence on Marquess Drive to contact an offender listed at the address.
Authorities said Rayshawn Tucker, 22, of Paducah, exited the residence and attacked an officer with an edged weapon.
Two officers then fired their weapons, striking Tucker. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
Two probation and parole officers were also transported to hospitals, where they were treated and released.
The Kentucky State Police Critical Incident Response Team is investigating the shooting. Officials said the investigation remains ongoing and additional details will be released as they become available.
