KSP release name of man who died after shot when entering Cadiz home

CADIZ, Ky. (KBSI) – Kentucky State Police released the name of a man who was shot and died after entering a home in Trigg County on July 20.

Troopers identify the person was was shot and died as Austin Gardner, 25, of Cadiz, who entered the home of Cody Parker, 21, of Cadiz.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a man entered a home on Linda Lane armed with a weapon.

Upon forcing his way into a room in the home, Gardner was shot by the homeowner. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
