KY 286 in Ballard County restricted to 1 lane after trauck hauling cheese crashed

BALLARD COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – KY 286 is restricted to one lane in southern Ballard County Wednesday morning after a truck with a trailer loaded with cheese crashed on Tuesday.
A semi crashed along KY 286 near Wickliffe on Tuesday. As the tow truck was hauling away the trailer from that crash, it lost control of the trailer. The trailer rolled over and is again partially blocking the roadway near the 4.2 mile point, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
This is along KY 286 near the intersection with Hershel Jones Road and North Ballard Church Road. It is about a mile west of the KY 1345/Myers Road intersection.
The trailer is loaded with cheese that must be offloaded before the trailer can be removed.
The road at this site is restricted to one-lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. Delays are likely and the road may have to be closed at some point to allow removal of the trailer.
Drivers are advised to seek an alternate route.
The road is estimated to be closed until about noon on Wednesday.
