Lady Indians roll out in style: Community rallies behind team’s historic Final Four bid
PERRYVILLE, Mo., (KBSI)- A sea of cheering fans lined the streets of Perryville on Thursday as the Lady Indians departed for Columbia, bound for their historic Final Four appearance. At 11 a.m., a send-off ceremony was held at Rosati Court, kicking off a festive procession.
The team rode in style aboard a decorated St. Vincent De Paul school bus, escorted by a convoy of vehicles aglow with red and blue lights.
As the Lady Indians made their way out of town, the crowd’s energetic cheers and applause filled the air, propelling the team toward their championship quest.
The Lady Indians made school history by advancing to the Final Four, and will face Tipton at Mizzou Arena on Friday at 10 a.m.
The team’s Saturday schedule will depend on the outcome of Friday’s game, with possible start times at 10 a.m. or 4 p.m.
Tickets for each game are $12 and can be purchased online. Fans 6 and older must have a ticket. The games will also be livestreamed for $10.
Mizzou Arena has several prohibited items, including animals, artificial noisemakers and outside food and drink. A clear, sealed water bottle per person is allowed.
