Law enforcement, families gather for SALT Memorial

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Law enforcement agencies and the community gathered Thursday for the annual SALT (Senior and Lawman Together) Law Enforcement Memorial.

The event honored local officers who have died in the line of duty, with attendees including the Jackson Police Department, Cape Girardeau Police Department, Cape Girardeau County Sheriff’s Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Family members of fallen officers also participated in the memorial service.
