CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Cape Central High School Principal Nancy Scheller is retiring after 19 years with Cape Girardeau Public Schools.

Scheller has been a dedicated leader, mentor and advocate for students, staff and families. The district expressed gratitude for her service.

Drew Church, a longtime member of the Cape Central High School family, will succeed Scheller as head principal. Church has served as a physical education teacher, head boys’ basketball coach and assistant principal since joining the school in 2006.

Church’s commitment to student success and love for the school make him a strong fit for the role, according to the district.

The community is invited to congratulate Church on his promotion and celebrate Scheller’s career.
