Winners of the open divisions included women, men, and juniors.

The men’s open division winner was Cambron Womack of St. Louis.

The women’s open division winner was Charlotte Seabaugh of Cape Girardeau.

Two juniors in the 6-12 and 13-17 divisions also received awards.

Lindsey Pippins was women’s overall long drive champion. Jake Seabaugh was the men’s overall long drive champion.

Curt Buchheit was the event’s overall fundraiser with more than $8,000 individually raised.

All proceeds raised from the event go to patient support.

More than 30 sponsors, four of which were national and 26 local southeast Missouri businesses supported the LemonDrop Long Drive. There were 16 community fundraisers.

Organizers say this was the most successful year to date.

The Walks Foundation organizes the event and donates funds raised to support local CancerCare funds.

The Foundation creates personalized care packages called “ChemoPaks”. The packages are shipped to cancer patients upon request. ChemoPaks include items such as unscented lotion, queasy drops or lemon drops to combat nausea, a cooling towel, journal, and other personalized items requested by the person seeking the ChemoPak for their loved one (cancer patient).

“The impact of donor funds is immediate. Through the generosity of the community we will be able to create hundreds of ChemoPaks, and be able to continue to educate boys, men, and
families about TC and early detection” said board member Jakob Pallesen.

Since it began in 2021, the Walks Foundation be has raised more than $150,000 toward patient support.
