Livingston County Schools closed Tuesday due to ongoing water issues

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — Livingston County Schools canceled classes Tuesday, Aug. 18, after repairs to the district’s water system failed to hold.
District officials said the issue affecting water service remains unresolved and is also impacting fire-suppression systems in the schools.
The district had previously announced that schools would reopen Tuesday but reversed that decision because of the continuing problems.
School is canceled for all students and staff.
Crews are continuing to work on the water system. The district said another update will be provided once officials have confirmed when schools can safely reopen.
