Livingston County Schools employee named finalist for statewide FRED Award

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) — A Livingston County Schools employee has been named a finalist for a statewide recognition honoring education support staff.
Kanda Boyd, kitchen manager at South Livingston Elementary and a nutrition services assistant, is one of three finalists for the 2026 FRED Award presented by the Kentucky Association of School Administrators.
School officials said Boyd was recognized for her impact on students and staff, noting her role extends beyond food service to building relationships and supporting the school community.
District leaders encouraged the public to review additional information about the award and Boyd’s nomination through the official KASA release.
