Local heroes spread holiday cheer during Sikeston Shop with a Hero event

SIKESTON, Mo., (KBSI) — Sikeston Public Schools held its annual Shop with a Hero event on Tuesday, bringing together students and local first responders for a day of holiday giving.
School officials said local agencies raised money and volunteered their time to help students shop for gifts.
The district expressed appreciation to everyone who participated and donated to support the event.
“Shop With a Hero” allows students to select holiday gifts while building positive connections with local law enforcement, firefighters and other community heroes during the Christmas season.
