Madison County crews contain early morning structure fire

MADISON COUNTY, Ill., (KBSI) — Firefighters responded early Tuesday to a structure fire in Madison County’s East District, officials said.

The Madison County Fire Department said crews were dispatched around 6:30 a.m. and arrived to find a 30-by-60-foot shop with flames visible. Firefighters launched an aggressive attack and quickly brought the blaze under control.

Investigators determined the fire was electrical in nature. No injuries were reported.
