CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Saint Francis Foundation recognized three recipients with Donors of Distinction awards during its annual Grace Notes donor appreciation dinner.

The awards honor leadership giving and long-term commitment to advancing health care across the region.

First State Community Bank received the first award for its support of initiatives including Saint Francis Mobile Wellness outreach efforts. Foundation officials said the bank’s contributions have helped support Days of Caring events and expand the Reach Out and Read program to the Saint Francis Farmington Clinic.

Jim and Teresa Maurer were also recognized for their ongoing support of Saint Francis Healthcare System initiatives. Foundation Executive Director Stacy Huff said the couple has consistently provided leadership gifts and has been involved with the organization for decades, including as Charter Lifetime Members of the foundation’s 1875 Society since 2005.

The final award was presented to Ann Wescoat Ritter, whose recognition also highlighted her family’s multi-generational contributions to health care in southeast Missouri. Foundation officials said the Wescoat-Ritter family has a legacy spanning more than 150 years of involvement in health care and philanthropic support of Saint Francis.

“We are deeply grateful for the influence and commitment your family has made over generations,” Huff said during the event.
