Malden student’s idea leads to new playground ball pit

MALDEN, Mo., (KBSI) — A Malden elementary student’s idea for a new playground feature has come to life after gaining support from school staff and students.

Eliza Darter wrote a persuasive letter to school administrators proposing the addition of a Gaga ball pit to enhance recess activities.

The idea was shared with high school agriculture teacher Cody Coleman, whose students designed and built the structure.

School officials said the project highlights student initiative and collaboration, bringing a new recreational option to the playground.
