Man accused of standoff with Scott City police

SCOTT CITY, Mo. (KBSI) – A man faces charges after police say he unlawfully discharged a firearm into a vehicle and left the scene in Scott City.
Scott City Police officers responded to a call for service on Nash Road in reference to shots fired on Monday, April 3.
Roger Howard Haselbusch, 47, faces charges of unlawful use of a weapon and one count of property damage 1st degree.
He is accused of unlawfully discharged a firearm into a vehicle and leaving the scene.
Officers responded to an address in Scott City, known to be the address of Haselbusch, and found his vehicle.
Officers with the Scott City Police Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol established a perimeter and secured the home.
A negotiator with the Scott City Police Department established contact via cell phone with Haselbusch.
After about an 45 minute standoff, Haselbusch left the home unarmed and was arrested.
A firearm was recovered at the scene.
Haselbusch was taken to the Cape Girardeau County Justice Center and is being held on $100,000 cash bond.
