Man accused of trespassing, drugs after stolen ATV found

CAMBRIA, Ill. (KBSI) – A man faces trespassing and drug charges after sheriff’s deputies found a stolen ATV and a man laying in the fetal position under a kitchen table.

Lucas L. Holland face charges of possession of controlled substance (Class 4 felony) and criminal trespass to residence (Class A misdemeanor).

Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the report of a criminal trespass in the 600 block of West Vermont Street in Cambria on February 25 at 7:52 p.m.

The reporting party told deputies he saw unusual traffic at the home including a white pickup truck and an ATV pulling a trailer which made multiple trips taking items from the home.

Deputies found an ATV and trailer at a homee which had all of its exterior doors open.

A perimeter was set around the home and multiple deputies entered.

Deputies found Holland laying in the fetal position underneath a kitchen table.

Holland is known to law enforcement as the result of extensive contact. He was on parole for conspiracy to commit drug trafficking out of Willliamson County.

Deputies order Holland out from under the table and arrested him.

Holland told deputies was “scrapping” and had taken items from the home believing it to be abandoned.

Sheriff’s office investigators determined that the 1998 Honda Fourtrax 300 ATV found in the driveway fit the description of a stolen ATV. They continue to investigate its status.

Holland was taken to the Williamson County Jail.

When they arrived at the jail, deputies discovered a small bag containing a white powdery substance which they say Holland had tucked between the seat and back cushion in the rear seat of the patrol vehicle. The white powdery substance field tested positive for the presence of fentanyl.
