Man arrested after alleged break-in, police chase

MCLEANSBORO, Ill., (KBSI) — Lucas Faber was taken into custody Monday after allegedly breaking into a home, stealing a dog and leading police on a chase.

McLeansboro police responded to a call around 4:19 a.m. and were assisted by a Hamilton County deputy who spotted Faber’s vehicle.

Faber allegedly refused to pull over and struck a police vehicle twice during the pursuit.

He was apprehended after returning to the scene of the alleged break-in and resisting arrest. Faber was tased and taken into custody.

Faber is facing multiple charges, including home invasion and resisting arrest. He is being held at the White County Jail.

Faber is presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.
