Man arrested after attempted burglary, altercation with authorities

SCOTT COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) – A 29-year-old man is in custody after a confrontation with authorities on Sunday.
Preston Jackson is accused of attempting to steal from a home in Scott County on Saturday, April 5.
According to court documents, Jackson fled the scene after being confronted by the homeowner.
The incident was captured on the home’s security camera, which recorded Jackson’s arrival and the confrontation.
The Scott County sheriff and a deputy went to Oran on Sunday to apprehend Jackson.
During the arrest, Jackson allegedly pulled out a hammer and resisted the officers, leading to a physical altercation.
Jackson faces multiple charges, including second-degree burglary and resisting arrest.
He is being held at the Scott County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
