Man arrested after drugs found during traffic stop in McCracken County

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A man face drug charges after a traffic stop in McCracken County on Friday, December 22.

Henry Wilkey faces charges of failure to wear seat belt, failure to produce insurance, license to be in possession, trafficking in methamphetamine greater than 2 grams (2nd offense) and drug paraphernalia.

Around 12:54 p.m. on Dec. 22 a deputy with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a passenger car on Starke Avenue in McCracken County.

Deputies identified the driver as Wilkey. During the investigation, K9 Oscar was deployed and alerted to the odor of illegal narcotics coming from the vehicle.

Deputies found approximately 40 grams of crystal methamphetamine inside the vehicle and on Wilkey.

He was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
