Man arrested after homeowner comes home to man in house

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill. (KBSI) – Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man accused of burglary and theft.
Kyle W. Georgi, 20, faces charges of residential burglary and theft.
The sheriff’s office received a 911 call around 9:26 a.m. on November 6 from a rural Franklin County resident who said he just returned home and found someone in his house.
The caller said he confronted the suspect and that he ran from the home.
Deputies responded and searched the area near the home.
Within minutes, deputies found a person matching the description provided by the homeowner.
He was identified as 20-year-old Kyle W. Georgi. Georgi was taken back to the home and was identified by the homeowner as the person that was in his home.
Georgi was taken to the Franklin County Jail.
Under the Safe-T-Act, residential burglary is a detainable offense and Georgi will remain in the Franklin County Jail awaiting a detention hearing.
