Man arrested after police chase into woods in Marshall County
MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man after a chase through woods in Marshall County.
A narcotics detective with the Calloway/Marshall County Drug Task Force along with the Marshall County Sheriff’s deputies was trying to serve a felony indictment arrest warrant at a home on Captain Morgan Drive on July 19.
While in the Pirates Cove area, Davis was spotted driving a motor vehicle.
A detective tried to conduct a traffic stop on Shawn Davis.
The detective says Davis ran from deputies in his vehicle traveling from Marshall County into Calloway County and returning back into Marshall County.
Davis drove his vehicle into a wooded area in Marshall County and ran on foot.
Marshall County Sheriff’s Office K-9 was deployed.
Davis was arrested a short time later.
He was served his indictment warrant for conspiracy to traffic in a controlled substance 1st degree and persistent felony offender.
He also faces charges of reckless driving, fleeing evading police 1st degree (vehicle) and fleeing evading police 2nd degree (foot).
Davis was out on bond for drug possession charges when this offense occurred.
